What to Do?

There is so much to do just on the smallholding, Explore the riverside scramble, upriver from the campsite. Take a hamper-full for the perfect secluded picnic by the river in the woods, or when the sun leaves the campsite leave your pot stewing on the fire while you head for the hill-top view-point for a sundowner.

Also, beyond the many treasures of Cwm Pennant, the wonderful and varied beaches of the LLyn Peninsula, Harlech and Barmouth are within easy reach as are many parts of Snowdonia.  Take the world's fastest zip wire or ride the fantastic Festiniog Steam Railway through the spectacular landscape or re-visit 1970's TV memories with a visit to Portmeirion - the surreal faux italian folly/village that was the setting of "The Prisoner". Buy a permit and fish the lower reaches of the river Dwyfor for sea trout and salmon (when the river level is right) or head out to sea for mackerel and sea bass. Or just recharge your energies by the river, cook in the cook house, rest in a hammock and let the nature around you work its magic.
